Hai Duong leaders pay visits, present gifts on Vesak occasion

The provincial leaders acknowledged and appreciated the contributions and important concomitance of Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and followers in the province.

Mr. Pham Xuan Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province, Chairman of the provincial People's Council; Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Trieu The Hung; and leaders of the provincial People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, the provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board, the Department of Home Affairs, Hai Duong city, and Gia Loc and Ninh Giang districts on May 19 morning visited, presented gifts to, and congratulated a number of Buddhist dignitaries and monks in the province on the occasion of the 2021 Vesak (2565 BE).

Offering congratulations on the 2021 Vesak, the provincial leaders acknowledged and appreciated the contributions and important concomitance of Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and followers in the province with Party committees and authorities at all levels in performing local tasks, especially humanitarian, charity, and anti-Covid-19 activities.

The provincial leaders hoped and suggested that Buddhist dignitaries in the province continue to be exemplary; encourage Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers to well observe the Party's lines and the State's policies and laws and lead a good life in both secular and religious aspects; and actively participate in the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure to wisely choose those who are truly worthy to represent people's will and aspirations.

The provincial Buddhist Sangha should continue to join hands with Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and organizations to prevent, control, and drive back the Covid-19 epidemic.

Superior Monk Thich Thanh Van and Buddhist dignitaries thanked the provincial leaders for their attention to Buddhist activities and affirmed that the provincial Buddhist Sangha would continue to promote its role, unite people from all walks of life, and harmonize religions in the province to together with Party committees and authorities make Hai Duong more and more develop.
