Standing members of the provincial Party Committee will visit and present gifts, worth 2.5 million VND each, to nine typical policy families in three districts.
The provincial People's Committee on July 7 approved the spending of more than 50 billion VND to visit and present gifts to policy families, meritorious people, and some units nurturing wounded and sick soldiers on the occasion of this year's War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27).
Accordingly, the provincial authorities will offer more than 60,000 gifts to meritorious people and their relatives, consisting of martyrs' families (including worshipers of martyrs who have no relatives), war invalids and those entitled to the same policies as war invalids (including those ineligible for monthly allowances), revolutionary contributors, sick soldiers, people participating in resistance activities and their offspring who are contaminated with toxic chemicals, and revolutionary and resistance activists imprisoned by the enemy.
Each gift is worth 850,000 VND in both kind and cash.
On this occasion, standing members of the provincial Party Committee will visit and present gifts, worth 2.5 million VND each, to nine typical policy families in three districts of Cam Giang, Thanh Ha, and Ninh Giang.
In the remaining nine localities, the provincial leaders will visit and give gifts, worth 2.5 million VND each, to 27 typical families.
The provincial authorities will also organize delegations to visit and offer gifts to six units nurturing wounded and sick soldiers in and outside the province.
