Hai Duong's economy quickly, markedly recovers

As reported by the Department of Planning and Investment on the implementation of socio-economic development plans and tasks in the past nine months and key tasks for the last three months of 2022, the provincial economy quickly and markedly recovered.

The production value of agriculture, forestry, and fishery was estimated at more than 15,600 billion VND, equaling 73.1% of the year's plan and increasing by 3.5% over the same period in 2021.

Industry and construction continued to maintain high growth with the total value estimated at over 24,800 billion VND, equivalent to 73.4% of the year's plan and up 14.4%.

Trade and services quickly recovered, bringing about 62,800 billion VND, completing 81.4% of the year's plan and rising by 12.8%.

Acknowledging the efforts of authorities at all levels in realizing socio-economic development tasks in the past nine months, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung stressed that the urgent tasks that authorities at all levels should care about to successfully realize the socio-economic development goal for 2022 are completing the provincial planning for the 2021 – 2030 period and focusing on disbursing public investment, especially for key projects and works.

In early October, leaders of the provincial People's Committee will work with each unit and locality to remove obstacles and speed up the disbursement of public investment.

Concluding the issues of nine-month budget revenue and expenditure, measures to realize the budget estimate for the last three months of the year, and budget expected to be allocated in 2023, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung assigned the Department of Finance to urge localities in writing to proactively complete expenditure estimates in accordance with the actual situation and legal provisions, and coordinate with the provincial Taxation Department to determine the increase in revenue from land use fees in 2022 to counsel the provincial People's Committee on allocation to key projects.

According to a report of the Department of Finance, State budget revenue in the province in the past nine months was estimated at nearly 14,000 billion VND, equivalent to 94% of the year's estimate and up 3% year on year.

The total local budget expenditure in the past nine months was estimated at over 11,260 billion VND, reaching 72.6% of the year's estimate and up 13% over the same period in 2021.
