According to the provincial Hydro-meteorological Station, due to the weakening influence of a strengthened continental cold ridge, it will be cloudy and rainless by night, sunny and less cloudy by day in Hai Duong on January 9 and 10.

From January 11, the continental cold ridge will be weakly strengthened eastward, causing rain and drizzles in some areas in the province.

It will be cold with northeast winds remaining at level 2. There will be sunshine and fewer clouds at noon and in the afternoon.

Around the night of January 15, the continental cold ridge will be strongly strengthened, resulting in extreme cold weather, scattered drizzles, and level-3 northeast winds in the province.

The weather in Hai Duong in the coming days will be relatively stable with the lowest temperature 15 – 16 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature 22 – 23 degrees Celsius, and a humidity of 70%.

Despite the cold, there will not be much rain plus suitable temperature and humidity, creating favorable weather for preparations for the 2023 Tet Nguyen Dan (Lunar New Year).
