The distributor of Hai Duong's lychees in Australia held an auction of one kilogram of lychees to support the area most affected by Covid-19 in Vietnam.
The first batch of lychees exported to Australia by sea was sold at 11 supermarkets
On June 19, as soon as the first batch of Hai Duong's fresh lychees weighing nearly 20 tons was shipped to Australia by sea, the distributor held an auction of one kilogram of lychees with a starting price of AUD2,000 to support the area most affected by Covid-19 in Vietnam.
At the end of the auction, one kilogram of Hai Duong's fresh lychees was purchased for AUD3,000 (equivalent to nearly VND52 million).
The distributor intends to continue holding auctions of fresh lychees of Hai Duong in the coming days.
The first batch of Hai Duong lychees exported to Australia by sea by Red Dragon Co., Ltd. was bought from an early lychee region in Thanh Ha district.
The batch was distributed to 11 supermarkets in Australia and received positive feedback from customers.
Four other containers of early lychees of Hai Duong with a total volume of more than 80 tons are on their way to Australia and will hit supermarket shelves in the next few days.
