The bypass connecting national highways 18 and 37 in inner Chi Linh city temporarily opens to traffic
The bypass is one of key projects of Chi Linh city invested in by the city People’s Committee with a total cost of about VND280 billion.
The route, 8.6 km long, has the starting point at km 35+02 of national highway 18 (in Constrexim urban area, Chi Minh ward), the middle point at km 79+450 of national highway 37 (to the north of the Ninh Chap river in Thai Hoc ward), and the end point at Dong Mai bridge. Road 184’s concreted section to Dong Mai bridge has been enlarged.
The route is divided into two packages. Package 1 from the starting to the middle point is being built by a joint venture between Binh Minh EPC Co., Ltd. and Hoan Hao Co., Ltd., and package 2 from the middle to the end point is being constructed by Con Son Building Materials JSC.
Upon completion, the route will remedy frequent traffic congestion on national highways 18 and 37 in Chi Linh city.
The project will also strengthen connection with Dong Trieu provincial town in Quang Ninh, contribute to expanding the urban space of Chi Linh, shorten journeys between Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Binh bridge, and Quang Ninh and Binh bridge, and reduce transport costs.
