Hai Duong's 2022 GRDP reckoned to rise by 9.06%

Hai Duong province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in 2022 has been estimated to rise by 9.06% (planned at 10% or higher).

In 2021, the province’s GRDP posted a rise of 8.6%.

The information was stated in a report on the implementation of the 2022 socio-economic development plan and a plan for 2023 given by the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board at the 13th session of the 17th provincial Party Committee on December 1 afternoon.

As reported, the production value of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries was reckoned to increase by 3.6%; industry – construction, 11.8%; and services, 8.4%.

The economic structure continued to quickly shift towards industry, construction, and services. The proportion of processing and manufacturing industries in the GRDP recorded positive changes.


Participants in the session

Retail and service sales totaled 87,200 billion VND, an increase of 14.1%. Exports and imports were valued at 11.45 million and 8.655 million USD, up 16.1% and 13.8%, respectively.

Investment in social development in 2022 was estimated at 53,100 billion VND, 7.6% higher than 2021 and equivalent to 31.7% of the GRDP (planned at 35%).

During the year, Hai Duong cooperated on investment in three inter-provincial traffic works; accelerated the making and approval of the provincial, technical, and specialized planning; passed the planning for 10 out of 12 district-level administrative units; etc.

This year, the province fulfilled and overfulfilled nine out of 16 socio-economic development targets.
