Hai Duong exporters speed up

FRIDAY, 11/11/2022 11:12:01

Year-end is the time for exporters to sprint to complete orders to fulfill their plans for the year and create growth momentum for the next one.

Tan A Aluminum Co., Ltd. accelerates year-end production, striving to complete its goal for the whole year

As a big shot in printer manufacturing and export in the province, Brother Industries (Vietnam) Ltd. in Phuc Dien industrial park, Cam Giang district, is striving to overfulfill its export norm for 2022.

In the past 10 months, the unit exported 4 million printers and about 12.3 million drums. Its revenue surged by nearly 30% over the same period last year, with more than 4 million USD paid to the State budget.

In the last months of the year, the company will focus on completing the signed contracts, continue to seek new orders, and consolidate its workforce to create momentum for production and business in the coming year.

Tan A Aluminum Co., Ltd. in Lai Vu industrial park, Kim Thanh district, has met only 70% of its target to export 20,000 tons of shaped aluminum bars in 2022. Despite much pressure on production and market, the company refuses to adjust its production and business plan.

According to Tran Thi Phuong, Head of the company’s Import-Export Department, instead of passively waiting for partners, the company has proactively consolidated existing orders, looked for new partners, and calculated and rebalanced prices to improve its competitiveness.

Therefore, it is expected that at the end of the year, exports will sharply increase. The enterprise is recruiting more seasonal workers to meet production requirements. Its existing 300 workers have been divided into two shifts and worked overtime.

The last months of a year are also the time farm produce exporters begin a new crop. Companies are concentrating resources to purchase, preliminarily process, and export vegetables to major markets.

Not only fulfilling traditional orders for winter crop products, Ameii Vietnam JSC. has also received many contracts to export arrowroot leaves, banana flowers, lemongrass, pandan leaves, etc. to serve overseas Vietnamese communities.

As soon as Covid-19 was controlled, exporters sped up to increase orders and fill the gap caused by the pandemic. However, after having overcome old difficulties, many enterprises encountered new challenges.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine caused inflation in the US and Europe, greatly affecting export activities. At the same time, a surge in the price of input materials hiked production costs, making it difficult for businesses to find and approach new orders.

In addition, the US dollar index in October rose by 1.91% over the previous month and 5.5% year on year, and increased by 1% in the first 10 months of 2022, significantly influencing exporters.

To both solve difficulties and preserve their workforces, some businesses, especially garment and footwear ones, have reduced overtime and slackened production time to suit the actual situation.

To create favorable conditions for enterprises to overcome difficulties and accomplish their export goals, the provincial authorities are innovating customs activities and promoting the application of an e-customs system to shorten the processing time of customs clearance procedures.

According to the Statistics Office, the provincial export value in the past 10 months reached 8,816 million USD, equivalent to 82.4% of the year’s plan and up more than 15% year on year.

Monthly export value increased sharply compared to 2021 and exceeded 1 billion USD in July, August, and September alone.
