A delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) worked with the Hai Duong Department of Industry and Trade on February 26 to survey and assess the actual status of farm produce trading and consumption in the province.
The delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade visits Xuyen Viet JSC.
At the working session, the MoIT delegation suggested that the provincial authorities direct the establishment of a close and methodical connection chain in farm produce consumption, plan stable material supply zones, and work out mechanisms to promptly support clean and safe farm produce production regions to meet increasingly high demands of the market.
The MoIT is negotiating with a number of signatories to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) to open markets for the consumption of goods, including many agricultural products of Hai Duong.
Therefore, Hai Duong businesses and famers must closely cooperate with each other to conquer these major markets.
The project "Innovating farm produce trading methods," currently being developed by the MoIT, will also facilitate the consumption of localities' farm produce.
The province-based enterprises asked the MoIT to support the development of brand names for Hai Duong's agricultural products and intensify trade promotion so that they would not have to export goods through intermediary units.
The Department of Industry and Trade shall study to propose the Provincial People's Committee to establish an association for the consumption of farm produce for favorable and effective connection of goods, continue to support the sticking of traceable stamps, etc.
Earlier, the MoIT delegation visited and surveyed the production and trading of agricultural products at some production establishments and businesses in the province.
