The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has sent a document on the organization of activities in response to World Tourism Day (September 27) to the provincial Tourism Association, district Culture and Information Divisions, management boards of relic sites and spots, and tourism service businesses in the province.
Accordingly, local authorities should further propagandize the 2020 message of World Tourism Day through the mass media to raise the awareness of businesses and communities about the role of tourism for rural development.
The Tourism Association, management boards of relic sites and spots, and tourism service businesses should study the hanging of banners and posters, organization of activities and seminars suitable to the theme, reduction of sightseeing and service prices, or presentation of gifts to customers on September 27.
This year's World Tourism Day is themed "Tourism and rural development" to emphasize the important role of tourism in creating opportunities and preserving cultural and natural value in rural areas around the world.
