The Summer Beginning Festival 2018 has been held at Duong An Senior High School (Binh Giang) in response to the International Children's Day and the Action Month for Children.

The Hai Duong Provincial Steering Board for Summer Activities and the Volunteer Youth Campaign held the Summer Beginning Festival 2018 on May 31 morning at Duong An Senior High School (Binh Giang) in response to the International Children's Day (June 1) and the Action Month for Children.
Addressing the festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Luong Van Cau acknowledged the positive results and care of authorities at all levels and sectors for children over the past time.
He appreciated the fact that schools and entertainment areas had gradually been renovated with more facilities and conditions for children to have more space for learning and recreation.
The activities of educating, orienting, visiting, presenting gifts to, encouraging, commending, and rewarding children were done more effectively.
The Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization implemented many campaigns and programs with practical and meaningful effectiveness like Lightening the Dreams of Hai Duong Youth, Young Computing, Future Young Leaders, etc.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee required departments and sectors to further promote the education of traditions, ethics, and lifestyles and the dissemination of law to youngsters and children; organize activities to attract youngsters and children to the building of a civilized urban lifestyle, environmental protection, and helpful entertainment activities; increase responses to the Action Month for Children under the theme “For a safe and healthy life of children in the digital world;” propagandize the Law on Children; prevent and fight child abuse and violence; etc.
On this occasion, the Central Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to two pupils winning consolation prizes of the National Postage Stamp Collection and Research Contest themed “Protecting rare and precious animals through postage stamps,” namely Nguyen Thu Quyen and pham Thi Ngoc Khanh from class 8A of Tan Binh Junior High School (Hai Duong city).
The organizers presented 50 gifts (worth VND500,000 each) to young people and children overcoming difficulties to learn well in Binh Giang district.
