The Provincial General Hospital was given the highest score (3.76) while Hoa Binh General Hospital got the lowest score of 2.47.

According to results of the Hai Duong Health Department's inspection and assessment of hospital quality in 2017, the average score of hospitals in the past year was 3.05 (on a 5-point scale), an increase of 0.09 points over 2016.

District-level hospitals had an average score of 3.06 (up 0.1 points) and hospitals at provincial level, an average score of 3.03 (up 0.06 points).

The Provincial General Hospital was given the highest score (3.76) while Hoa Binh General Hospital got the lowest score of 2.47.

The examination, assessment, and grading were conducted in accordance with a set of 83 criteria for assessment of the quality of Vietnam hospitals attached to the Health Minister's Decision 6858/QD-BYT dated November 18, 2016.

The higher scores were achieved thanks to the medical units' implementation of quality improvement activities.

However, there remained many limitations at some hospitals, such as no wifi for patients and their relatives, low rates of employees trained in fire prevention and fighting, incomplete indoor fire prevention and fighting systems, etc.
