Director of the Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Tien Loc on November 7 afternoon worked with the Hai Duong Customs Sub-department.
Concluding the working session, Mr. Nguyen Tien Loc required the Hai Duong Customs Sub-department to continue intensifying administrative procedure reform and perfect its e-customs clearance process to create favorable conditions and reduce costs for enterprises performing import-export procedures.
Officials and public servants should be encouraged to improve their professional qualifications and have a high sense of responsibility in observing public service rules and working regulations.
The sub-department should proactively propose plans to strengthen its force in both quantity and quality, supplement modern technical means, and enhance the efficiency of applying information technology, etc. in professional activities.
From the beginning of the year to November 6, the sub-department processed procedures for nearly 226,000 import-export declaration sets, up over 18% year on year, and collected close to VND2,650 billion in tariffs, exceeding the norm assigned for this year by more than 29%.
The unit is striving to collect VND3,060 billion in tariffs this year, an increase of over 33% against the previous year.
