Cam Giang kicks off Mao Dien Literature Temple, Giam Pagoda, Xua Temple Festivals

The People's Committee of Cam Giang District and the Department of Information and Communications jointly opened the 2018 Mao Dien Literature Temple Festival and Mau Tuat Spring Book Festival on April 1 morning.

The Mao Dien Literature Temple Festival is taking place in three days, from April 1 to 3.
 


An orchid exhibition, calligraphic exchanges, and musical performances take place excitingly at the Mao Dien Literature Temple Festival
 
Apart from solemn rituals, there are many festive activities, such as beautiful handwriting and Golden Bell contests, Chinese and human chess competitions, nursing exercise performances, exchanges among Northern calligraphy clubs, an orchid exhibition, and musical exchanges, attracting the attention of numerous people.

The Department of Information and Communications is displaying nearly 2,000 books in the fields of culture, history, science and technology, etc., many of which introduce the land and people of Hai Duong and the cultural value of relics and tourist attractions in the province, at two pavilions.

From March 30 to April 1, the 38th Giam Pagoda Festival commemorating Great Physician, Zen Master Tue Tinh lured thousands of visitors and locals to musical exchanges, a festival of flower garlands and colored lanterns, quan ho (love duet) singing, volleyball, Chinese chess, and badminton tournaments, etc.

Cam Vu Commune's Nghia Phu Hamlet organized the traditional festival of Xua Temple and offered incense in commemoration of Great Physician, Zen Master Tue Tinh on March 31 and April 1.

Besides rituals, people participated in folk games like crossing a bridge to snatch flags and breaking earthenware pots, musical exchanges, football games, etc.
