Women's Unions assist female startups with over VND1.3 billion

Women's Unions have supported 45 members with a total of over VND1.3 billion to go into business, such as trading at markets, opening of production workshops, purchase of trolleys, etc.

In 2017, Women's Unions (WU) at all levels have co-organized 46 vocational training courses, mainly on sewing, crochet, handicraft, etc., for 1,801 members, given advice and introduced 1,500 female laborers jobs in industrial zones or abroad.

The total number of laborers trained and introduced jobs exceeds the registered norm of 2,200.

WUs at all levels have maintained embroidery, rattan and bamboo weaving, sewing, and broom making for nearly 20,000 members with per capita income of VND1.5 – 5 million/ month.

In addition, the provincial WU has coordinated with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to organize six Business Insights training courses for more than 200 female owners of enterprises, production and business facilities, and business households in six districts.

This year, all-level WUs have supported 45 members with a total of over VND1.3 billion to go into business, such as trading at markets, opening of production workshops, purchase of trolleys, building of breeding facilities, etc.
