Mr. Luong Van Cau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, on May 6 morning presided over a meeting of the steering board discussing the reception and quarantine of foreign workers entering Hai Duong.
The Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee assigned the Health Department to absorb suggestions of participants to complete temporary guidelines on the quarantine of foreign workers at hotels or in their staying places.
Duties of the police, the military, the Industrial Zones Authority, and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs should be added to the guidelines.
The assignment of tasks of the authorities of communes, wards, and district towns where hotels are located should be reviewed.
There should be guidelines on funds in the direction that quarantined people must pay their living and service expenditures while the State will pay for the management and service network like medical workers, the police, the military, etc. in line with regimes.
Hotels must also have separate incomings.
Costs of test kits for quarantined people were proposed to be paid from the provincial funds.
The guidelines should include a detailed appendix on quarantine order. The appendix must clearly show the information reporting regime of focal points.
The Health Department was tasked to complete and promulgate the guidelines on May 8.
The Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee acknowledged and appreciated the Hai Duong city People's Committee and Truong Thanh hotel for willingness to accept tasks.
Tu Ky and Cam Giang districts and Kinh Mon provincial town should review hotels eligible for quarantine to make plans when there are foreign workers put into quarantine in the localities, closely manage enterprises in the localities, neither neglect nor be subjective in epidemic prevention and control, etc.
To date, 890 foreign workers of 76 enterprises in and outside industrial zones have registered for quarantine in Hai Duong, according to the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
* The provincial People's Committee has allowed foreign workers of the limited liability companies of Jaks Hai Duong Power, GFT Vietnam, GFT Unique Vietnam, Sky Dragon Vietnam, Thanh Sang International Vietnam, Force Unique Vietnam, Vietnam Great Wall International Group, Brother Industries (Vietnam), and Fuji Vietnam to enter Vietnam from early May through Huu Nghi border gate (Lang Son), Van Don airport (Quang Ninh), or Noi Bai airport (Ha Noi).
Employees of the companies must be quarantined for 14 days at Truong Thanh, Kim Bao, or Asean hotels (Hai Duong city) or other locations designated by appropriate authorities.
Only employees of Brother Industries (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. will be quarantined at locations designated by the Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Hai Duong or Quang Ninh province (since they will enter Vietnam through Van Don airport).
