4 projects win 1st prizes of high school pupils' scientific-technological contest

The Organizing Board has granted from first to consolation prizes in three fields to 71 out of 81 submitted projects.

The Organizing Board of the Provincial Scientific-technological Contest for High School Pupils in the 2017-2018 School Year has granted from first to consolation prizes in three fields to 71 out of 81 submitted projects at the end of the final round.

The electromechanical field recorded the highest number of entries and the best quality with 43 winning projects, consisting of three first, six second, 13 third, and 21 consolation prize winners.

The three first-prize winners were a robot monitoring, detecting, and disposing of bombs and mines in various terrains (Hoang Van Thu Senior High School (SHS), Hai Duong city), a multi-purpose waste sorting robot (Chi Linh SHS), and a machine digging, caring for, and creating canopies for ornamental kumquats (Nguyen Trai Gifted SHS, Hai Duong city).

The sole project winning first prize in the field of chemistry – environment was the study of natural products with high bioactivity for use in treatment of aphthous stomatitis, chaps, and cutaneous ulcers (Hong Duc SHS, Ninh Giang).

In addition, two second, four third, and five consolation prizes were granted in this field.

No project won first prize in the behavioral field. There were only four second, four third, and eight consolation prize winners.
