There were abundant of foodstuffs at markets, supermarkets, and convenience stores without scarcity of goods or price increase.
Specifically, domestic chickens were sold for VND100,000 – 120,000/kg; pork, VND140,000 – 170,000/kg; beef, VND240,000 – 270,000/kg; rice, VND12,000 – 30,000/kg; etc.
Only vegetables were 30 – 40% more expensive than the previous weekend because prolonged rain damaged a lot of vegetables.
This is also a transitional season with farmers having prepared land to grow early-winter vegetables, resulting in a decline in supply of vegetables.
