Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant construction progress should be accelerated, says provincial Party Committee Secretary

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, inspected the implementation of some projects and works in Kinh Mon district on July 18 afternoon.

He was accompanied by Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Vu Van Son and Mr. Nguyen Duong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

After having directly checked the site and heard managerial representatives of Jaks Hai Duong Power Co., Ltd. report on their project, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien said the slow implementation of the project had largely affected the provincial socio-economic development plans in recent years.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee affirmed that Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant is a key work. Therefore, the investor should closely coordinate with departments, branches, and local authorities of Hai Duong to accelerate the progress of the project and strive to run the 1st set of machinery in June 2020 at the latest, 6 - 9 months earlier than planned.

Relevant departments and branches and the Kinh Mon district People's Committee should closely collaborate with the investor to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles for the enterprise to well realize its work.

He assigned the provincial People's Committee to direct concerned departments and branches and the Kinh Mon district People's Committee to work out specific measures to speed up site clearance in the shortest time in conformity with the law and suitable to the actual situation of the locality.

The investor should hasten the project implementation, soon disburse money for completed work, and regularly report the progress as well as difficulties and obstacles for the provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches, and local authorities to promptly remove them.

Regarding the May bridge building project, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien required the provincial People's Committee to direct the Transport Department to select an appropriate plan in terms of scale, capital source, and project progress and counsel the provincial People's Committee to submit it to the provincial Party Committee for decision to strive to finish construction and put May bridge into operation in early 2020.
