The Tet gifts, worth VND500,000 each, were given to poor and policy families and victims of Agent Orange in 10 districts, Chi Linh provincial town, and Hai Duong city.
Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Gia Loc district, and the Kind Heart Foundation present gifts to disadvantaged people in the district
The Hai Duong Provincial Red Cross Society and Vingroup's Kind Heart Foundation jointly presented 2,000 Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts, worth VND500,000 each, to poor and policy families and victims of Agent Orange in 10 districts, Chi Linh provincial town, and Hai Duong city on January 10.
Among them, there were 318 people and families (consisting of 120 patients at Chi Linh Leprosy Hospital and 198 families living near or below the poverty line) in Chi Linh provincial town.
In each of the remaining localities, 80 – 240 families received the gifts.
On the occasion of the 2019 Ky Hoi Tet, Red Cross Societies at all levels in the province are striving to coordinate with donors to present 22,000 gifts, worth VND200,000 – 500,000 each.
To date, the Provincial Red Cross Society has raised and given nearly 3,000 gifts.
